Des's first car was a 1968 Ford Galaxy.

He acquired his auctioneering certificate at the Auctioneering Institute of Canada and has been an auctioneer for 35+ years.

He won the Canadian Auctioneering Championship in 2002.

In addition to over 10 years auctioning automobiles, Des has over 30 years of experience travelling the world auctioneering in North America, Europe and the Middle East.

One of Des's favourite career moments was auctioning a construction crane for well over a million euros in Spain.
